Abstract

Order is the way toward finding (or preparing) an arrangement of models (or capacities) that portray and recognize information classes or ideas. That is to be ready to utilize the models to foresee the obscure class marks of cases. We manage the positioning issue in this proposal. The positioning issue is an exceptional instance of the classification issue, where the class marks are positions or appraisals, spoke to by numbers from 1 to q. The positioning issue can likewise be given a role as the way toward preparing a rank-forecast show that appoints each example a rank that is as close as could be expected under the circumstances "to the occurrence's genuine rank. Well known uses of the positioning issue incorporate positioning the significance of website pages, assessing the financial credit of a man, and positioning the dangers of speculations...............

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 9 ~ Issue 1 (January - 2019)

Abstract

There have been dramatic changes in the field of Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM) in recent years, and despite the many advancements and changes, there is always a dire requirement for more cost-effective and efficient workholding methods and devices. This basic requirement of holding the workpiece has remained constant. Just as no single machine tool will perform every required operation, no individual jig or fixture can possibly hold every part. CoDeFi is a Concurrent Design of Fixture and part that enhances the manufacturability of the part and hence improves productivity. The idea is to transform a 3-D part design into a 2-D design model that can be accommodated on less sophisticated machinery such as a 3-axis CNC machining center or conventional machining methods. A computer simulation of the method when compared to using a multi-axis CNC machining center has resulted into time saving and code reduction.

Abstract

The share of older people in the population will increase globally in the years to come, therefore, appropriate approaches are necessary to manage issues related to age in the workplace. Intergenerational synergy and thus the exchange of knowledge, is the key element in the implementation of various tasks, finding solutions, obtaining and exchanging important information. Those companies that are aware of the importance of the age diversity of their employees are more competitive and successful than the other ones, because each generation brings different skills and talents. The main aim of the paper is to present intergenerational synergy and to determine the impact of intergenerational synergy on the work engagement of employees in large and medium-sized companies in Slovenia...........

Abstract

The objective of the proposed review was focused in studying bioactive peptides from daily foodsand their role on human health and nutrition. Itoffers major potential for incorporation into functional foods and nutraceuticals.Itcan be derived from plant and animal origin. Methods of producing peptidesare occurred in the proteolytic digestion of parent proteins, plant and bacterial proteases. It has physiological effect on the main body systems. There are some challenges in bioactive peptides such as fermented productscompared to the raw materials could change in amino acid composition, size andsequence of the peptides. It is obvious that these peptides can be used for health promotion and disease risk reduction, especially because they have some advantages compared to synthetic drugs.

Abstract

Municipal solid waste are a mixture of different materials derived from human activities with a high potential cause of environmental impacts. Characterize in physicochemical terms a set of materials such as wastes is essential for knowledge and generating clues about its behavior under certain conditions, allowing also study ways to control or minimize its impact on the environment. This research aimed to characterize urban wastes produced in the city of Campina Grande (PB), based on residues deposited in a bioreactor that simulates a landfill conditions. Physicochemical techniques were used that the current technical standards, have allowed and defined the capacity obtaining data necessary to describe some characteristics of the studied material, with X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analysis........

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 8 ~ Issue 3 (July 2018)

Abstract

In this study, the nitrogen and carbon sources, light conditions and higher temperature was applied to batch cultures of Astragalus trojanus Stev. Callus obtained in semi-solid WPM medium supplemented with 1 mg/L 6-benzyladenine and 100 μg/L selenium were transferred to liquid medium with the same composition under dark conditions. In order to investigate the effects of medium composition and culture conditions on biomass, astragaloside IV and cycloastragenol accumulations, 505 mg/L KNO3, 16 g/L glucose, light conditions (1000 lux) and 28°C temperature were implemented to cell cultures. Biomass did not ascend, however, accumulation of astragaloside IV (AST IV) and cycloastragenol (CG) was affected. The highest AST IV (0.3018 μg/mg) and CG (13.160 μg/mg) concentrations were detected in light conditions and KNO3 added medium, respectively. Addition of KNO3 instead of NH4NO3 increased cycloastragenol accumulation, but astragaloside IV decreased. At 28°C, neither of the components can be detected.

Abstract

The insect Callosobruchus maculatus, is responsible for serious damages in the storage of grains of diverse cultures, among them, the one of the beans. Therefore the development of substances capable of being an alternative to minimize agricultural losses and thus contribute to food security of the population is a current necessity. Thus, the objective of this work was to perform the synthesis of ibuprofen derivatives and to evaluate their effect on mortality of common bean weevil. toxicity tests of the derivatives were carried out with the Callosobruchus maculatus weevil through direct contact for 48h.The synthesis of the derivatives presented good yields (65 to 95%) and it was possible to perceive that they have a bioactive effect against C. maculatus, with a mortality rate of up to 100% after 24 hours of applicationusing a concentration of 1 mg/mlof each derivative in separate experiments. With this it is possible to emphasize that the derivatives produced and evaluated can be promising as pest control agents.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 8 ~ Issue 3 (July 2018)

Abstract

The aim of the study is to identify the employees perceptions in manufacturing and industrial companies on green environmental dimensions The respondents in this study are the employees' from various manufacturing companies in Johor Bahru city centre, Johor state of Malaysia. This study employed the survey method by using a questionnaire to the focused group that consists of 250 respondents at the managerial and operational level in manufacturing and industrial companies. The green environmental dimensions of that was determined in this study are sustainable transportation, sustainable procurement, eco-labeling and sustainable marketing.. Results showed that the highest total average score is 57 percent agreement on eco-labeling dimensions, followed by sustainable marketing dimension with 56 percent agreement. The results suggest that the manufacturing and industrial companies at Johor Bahru city centre, Johor state of Malaysia specifically did appropriate practices on green environmental dimensions to enhance the environmental sustainability and efficiency on their business operations.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 8 ~ Issue 3 (July 2018)

Abstract

Driver fatigue is a major exogenous cause of fatal road accidents and has implications for Malaysian road safety. The major aspect that causes human errors is fatigue/drowsiness due to task-induced factors or attitude/behavior of the driver. Therefore, it is necessary to identify significant index to detect driver fatigue and associate that index with the level of alertness, for road safety and for use by regulatory bodies. This can be carried out by observing the physiological behavior through the Event-related potentials (ERPs) and electroencephalography (EEG) measures. ERP's are very small voltage potentials that examine the information processing and characterize the brain structures in response to specific events or stimuli. Studies have shown EEG changes that are time-locked to sensory, cognitive or motor events.............

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 8 ~ Issue 3 (July 2018)

Abstract

In this paper, we consider an extension of perturbations to semi-Markov control problems. We then study process perturbations in which the instants between transitions are random variables. The discounted semi-Markov control problem and the limiting average semi-Markov control problem are considered. We proceed to a perturbation on the law transition probabilities and the discounted factor. For this, we consider the particular case where the transition time of the original semi-Markov process is a random variable that follows an exponential law.
