Abstract

Floods have increasingly become a pressing threat in the mountainous and midland regions of Vietnam, especially in Thai Nguyen province. This study explores the role of indigenous knowledge (IK) as a practical and culturally rooted resource in community-based flood disaster adaptation. Based on field surveys in six flood-prone communes, combined with literature review and GIS mapping, the research identifies and assesses local practices in flood forecasting, housing, agriculture, and emergency response. Results reveal that IK not only enhances local resilience but also complements scientific approaches when integrated systematically. However, challenges remain due to cultural erosion, urbanization, and lack of policy support. The study recommends a multi-stakeholder integration framework combining IK and modern science for sustainable disaster risk management in upland Vietnam.

Abstract

Electrical energy is essential for life. With the increasing need for clean and sustainable energy, micro-scale power plants based on hybrid systems are present as a solution. The integration of two different sources can pose technical challenges, one of which is the voltage imbalance between phases, especially when there is a disturbance such as the output of one phase from the inverter. This work aims to analyze the charac-teristics of the voltage and current imbalance that occurs in the hybrid generation system under normal condi-tions and when one phase of the inverter is disconnected........

Abstract

In Vietnam's fast-growing Fintech world, digital identity systems have become the backbone of secure online financial services. But with the rise of deepfake technology - AI-generated fake videos and voices—these systems are facing new and serious challenges. Deepfakes can trick even advanced security checks, leading to identity theft and financial fraud that can cost people and businesses dearly. While Vietnam has made great strides in building digital ID infrastructure and laws, there are still gaps in technology, legal protection, and public awareness that criminals can exploit....

Abstract

Waste is a problem that is still hotly discussed today. One of the wastes that we often encounter is aluminum waste. Aluminum waste can indeed be re-smelted, but the results of the smelting produce even more dangerous waste, namely B3 ( Hazardous Toxic) waste. In addition to aluminum waste, there is also a lot of waste that we encounter in our daily life, namely glass waste. This study aims to maximize the potential of aluminum waste and glass waste by examining the effect of variations in sintering temperature and material composition on the hardness and compressive strength of the composite......
