Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 13 ~ Issue 5

Abstract

Geometric design of highway deals with designing of physical visible features of highway those comprise of cross- sectional elements, sight distances, alignment, curves, superelevation, and other allied features. India is one of the country having population increases progressively causes traffic volume more. In addition to that sanctioning of funds from government for transportation infrastructure development is not satisfactory. So that it is preferable to plan and design the geometric elements of the road during the initial alignment stage itself by considering future traffic growth..........

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 13 ~ Issue 5

Abstract

Concrete is one of the most important materials used in construction. It is one the most frequently used building materials. It is used worldwide and is almost used twice more than that of steel, wood, plastics, or any other metals combined. The ready-mix concrete industry is projected to cross 600 billion dollars in revenue by 2025. Due to this large scale and continuous requirement of concrete, the concrete mixer has become one of the most important machines on construction sites. It homogeneously combines water, sand or gravel used as aggregate and cement, to form concrete. Any concrete mixer uses a type of a drum to mix the components. A portable concrete mixer often is considered for small volume works or projects. It gives the workers enough time to mix and use the concrete before it hardens. In this project a portable concrete mixer has been designed and safety of the design has been verified by carrying out the analysis by giving specific boundary conditions and observing the deformation of each part.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 13 ~ Issue 5

Abstract

Future computers will use a new technology called quantum. The main benefit of quantum computers is reversibility. There are many applications for reversible logic, including low power consumption such as CMOS, quantum computing, nanotechnology, cryptography, optical computing, DNA computing, digital signal processing (DSP), quantum Dot automata f mobile, communication, and computer graphics. Reversible logic is one of the most important issues at the moment. Without the use of a postponed brain action, quantum computing cannot be detected. Design's primary goals are to rationally reduce waste disposal costs, circuit depths, and quantum costs. The basic logical retrospective gates are presented in this study. Reversible computing can therefore be used to lower the complexity of digital circuits. We must use quantum gates to construct reversible gates in order for a quantum computer to conduct reversible operations.

Abstract

One of the crucial production paths for most industrial businesses is welding as a fabrication technique. The compositional range of the material to be welded, the thickness of the base materials, and the type of current are only a few of the variables that influence which welding technique is best for a certain application. Because most metals quickly oxidize when they are molten, the weld area must be shielded from atmospheric contamination when using gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (argon, helium, nitrogen). One of the common methods for joining ferritic and austenitic stainless-steel fabrication is the GTAW technique. But today's biggest challenge is still the microstructural change that takes place during welding and at the weld junction...........

Abstract

The idea to develop processes capable to produce physical components quickly and without requiring tooling, led to the development of the "free form fabrication" (FFF) or "rapid prototyping" (RP) technologies in the early 1980s. RP systems generally build up a prototype directly from the computer-aided design (CAD) data by using an additive "layer by layer" method. The RP technologies have brought several advantages to the manufacturing industry in such a way that these technologies are evolving toward the production of end- use parts...........

Abstract

The major objectives of this paper were to apply machine learning algorithms to residential PV renewable energy systems to enable the assessment of its economic potential. In doing so, suitable challenges and pathways towards a sustainable energy transition for Trinidad and Tobago were identified. Data science principles were used to estimate the necessary data required to model residential PV systems. The model, which utilizes the Ridge Regression machine learning algorithm, estimated daily residential electricity consumption based on bi-monthly data available from the utility companies as well as the average daily temperature. It was found to have an accuracy of 69.7% as compared to the average actual daily values.

Abstract

GTA welding is a well-known welding technique for joining two or more metal pieces either of same material or of different material. GTAW provides very good quality joints in less time and in better quality. It can be used for a wide variety of materials. No flux is used but the arc and the molten metal are shielded by an inert gas, which may be argon, helium, hydrogen, nitrogen, or mixtures of some of these gases. GTAW technique is still evolving to get better day by day with the improvement in the materials developed that can be easily used in oil and gas industries. The present study is undertaken as to study the Influence of process parameter of GTAW technique on metal deposition rate and mechanical properties of super duplex stainless steel using design on experimentation Taguchi L9 method by varying parameter like current, gas flow, arc length, welding speed to obtain optimized value of response for Hardness and metal deposition rate (MDR).

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 13 ~ Issue 5

Abstract

Solar cells are a technology that can convert solar energy into electrical energy. The power output of a solar panel is proportional to the amount of solar radiation it receives. The purpose of this research is to investigate the changes in the power output of a solar panel with varying levels of solar radiation and temperature. The research method involves using Matlab/Simulink simulation software with a solar panel capacity of 220 Wp. Solar radiation data was obtained from power.larc.nasa.gov with the location of the solar radiation point being the Sekolah Tinggi Teknologi Sinar Husni College. The results show that the highest power output from the solar panel was 200.6 W with a radiation value of 925.05 W/m2 at 12:00 pm, while the lowest power output was 39.9 W with a radiation value of 381.8 W/m2 at 4:00 pm. The highest voltage and current were generated at 12:00 pm, with values of 34.40 V and 5.83 A, respectively. The lowest voltage and current were generated at 4:00 pm, with values of 15.34 V and 2.6 A, respectively.

Abstract

Fossil fuels contribute a lot towards carbon emissions which results in global warming and climate change. In today's scenario, sustainable development is need of the hour. In terms of electricity generation, this can be achieved by renewable energy. Due to the high variations in electricity generation due to seasonal variations, Hybrid Renewable Energy System (HRES) is need of the hour. The objective of this study is to model a Hybrid Renewable Energy Source to be installed in a remote area of Bogamati, Assam and supply electricity to a neighborhood of 100 houses. For the electricity generation, Solar Photovoltaic (PV) and Wind Turbine were chosen. The characteristics of these systems are based on weather conditions and thus they are unreliable in itself. To counter this, two types of storage were chosen......
