Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 10 ~ Issue 7

Abstract

This paper presents a study on the development of an adhesive with specific characteristics such as: the shear strength, flexibility and the practicality of being adhered to the glove according to the need of its user. In view of this, the project has the problem of making a protective coat for gloves that is resistant to cutting, flexible, so as not to disturb the movement, and that can be applied in any region of the hand, according to the need of its user. Consequently, its objectives are: to study the materials to complete this task, as well as to validate its operation through tests and to use materials from other operations. The methodology was based on the collection of waste from the grinding operation and, at first, its pressing with a plastic bag. As this operation failed, it was attempted to dissolve the bag and separately impregnate the iron powder and the residue in that solution to obtain a homogeneous film, thereby making it one of the layers of the adhesive. The results obtained in the first test were unsatisfactory because the pressed layers did not unite and the second test is being performed; therefore, the study is not yet complete.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 10 ~ Issue 7

Abstract

This paper's objective is to develop a cap for the quantity of toothpaste for expelling the index of 0.07 milligrams of fluoride ions for each milligram of its body mass per day for children under seven years. The rationale is that children younger than seven years should not regularly ingest excess fluoride because, above the indicated index, they are at serious risk of developing dental fluorosis. Being a pathology in which it arises only in childhood, more specifically in the formation of the dental germ, causing a problem for the rest of the life if not treated-causing small white patches (in the lightest cases) or brownish spots (in the most severe cases). This pathology does not cause any changes in oral health but generates a shift in color, which can cause aesthetic damage. The treatment is costly, and the most common are microabrasion and whitening. From this, we intend to develop a prototype, with polypropylene, that does not have large weights and dimensions, thus offering secure handling, transportation, and use. Also, we will study the optimal issues of brushing amounts between the child's weight and the parts per million fluorides of toothpaste.

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 10 ~ Issue 7

Abstract

Pico Hydro is a concept used for small-scale hydroplants for power generation under 5 kW. Small turbines of 200 to 300 W can supply a specific demand, such as a lamp, circuit, sensor, and others aplications. Pico Hydro generally occur in the flow, without the presence of a reservoir. Pipes divert the flow directly to a small turbine before being exhausted. This paper is the projection of a system to capture rainwater for the generation of electric power in small devices, consumable questioning – if your income. It is a system of great importance, as well as take advantage of a natural phenomenon, will be generating clean energy that can be reused on another device. The Project was based on a study of Turbine Michell – Banki, which turns water motion into mechanical work.............

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 10 ~ Issue 7

Abstract

Mining is an important source of revenue of the economy in many developed countries. Nigeria is dependent on mineral exploitation for the diversification of her revenue from oil. Which diversification caused the mining sector to flourish. At the same time mining had serious environmental, health and social costs to the country that may increase dramatically in the next few years. The gap that must be addressed is the demand for solid minerals may lead to exploiting them without considering consequences and the absence of strict regulations to manage the sector. This paper notes that mining effects are destroying environment and threating workers health in Nigeria. Deforestation, soil erosion, water and air pollution play significant roles in the threat to the health of workers and communities in close proximity to mines............

Research Inventy: International Journal of Engineering & Science , Volume 10 ~ Issue 7

Abstract

Not all yoghurts produced and sold can be considered as probiotic yoghurts, simply because probiotic yoghurts should conform to standards in terms of the proximate, physicochemical and probiotic Lactic Acid Bacteria count. The aim of this study is to conduct comparative evaluation on the physicochemical, probiotic status and proximate composition of some commercially produced yoghurt stored under ambient condition. Five commercially sold brands of yoghurts were purchased, three (A,B,C) from large scale manufacturers, two (D, E) from small scale manufacturers, while a control sample (F) was produced in the laboratory using commercial starter cultures. Enumeration of Lactic acid bacteria (LAB) and determination of physicochemical parameters, proximate analysis and organoleptic properties of the samples was carried out in triplicate on a daily basis for six days...........

Abstract

The present work aims to make the diagnosis of soil fertility for possible use in precision agriculture, in a central pivot production area, in the municipality of Sandolândia, in the south of the state of Tocantins. In the property and soil sampling in grid of 2.0 ha with georeferenced points accounting for 44 composite samples, with the purpose of generating thematic maps for fertilizer and corrective application at varied rate.Soil samples were collected in the years 2017 and 2019, at a depth of 0 to 20 cm, collecting 5 simple samples to generate a complete sample. The samples for each year were sent to the soil laboratory to measure the contents of phosphorus, sulfur, calcium, magnesium, potassium, hydrogen plus aluminum and hydrogenic potential.Starting from the mean of each soil attribute, in a comparison with the year 2017, the year 2019 suffered a significant decrease. It is noted that the values of the means and medians have a proximity, making the normal distribution evidenced. The area under study has great potential for use in precision agriculture, in which it will be possible to perform geostatistical techniques and map processing forming management zones for the application of inputs at varied rate.
